Bodhgaya is one of the most important and sacred Buddhist pilgrimage center in the world. It was here under a banyan tree, the Bodhi Tree, Gautama attained supreme knowledge to become Buddha,the Enlightened One. Born; in the foothills of the Himalayas as a Sakya prince of Kapilvastu (now in Nepal), most of the major events of his life, like enlightenment and last sermon, happened in Bihar. Buddhism as a religion was really born in Bihar and evolved here through his preaching and the example of his lifestyle of great simplicity, renunciation and empathy for everything living. Significantly, the state's name of 'Bihar' originated from 'Vihara' meaning monasteries which abounded in Bihar.
Day 1 : Arrive Varanasi
Welcome to Varanasi, city on the banks of the Ganges ! Upon arrival at Varanasi Airport or Varanasi Railway Station, you will begin your 'Varanasi -Bodhgaya' tour. On arrival, check into your hotel. After Lunch Proceed to Visit Sarnath - the holy city of Varanasi, and is an exceedingly tranquil place. The ruins, Stupa, the museum and temple are all within walking distance. Overnight in Varanasi.
Day 2 : On Varanasi
In morning Transfer for Sunrise boating tour at 6am for an hour and after breakfast drive to four very famous temples for sightseeing Tulsi Manas Temple, Durga Temple, New Vishwanath Temple, Sankat Mochan Temple . In the evening visit the old Vishwanath Temple for Ganga Aarti. Overnight in Varanasi.
Day 3 : On Bodhgaya
After breakfast drive to to Bodhgaya On arrival visit to Vishnu Path or Visit Main Chinese Temple, Thai Temple, 80 feet statue, Japanese temple and Sujata Village . Check in to your hotel. Overnight in Bodhgaya.
Day 4 : Depart Bodhgaya -on to Varanasi
Today, bid farewell to your 'Varanasi -Bodhgaya' tour as you transferred to Varanasi Airport or Varanasi Railway Station for your onward journey.
